V.Group (V.) has entered into a strategic partnership with Erasmus Shipinvest Group (ESI), for the management of commercial vessels, including the provision of crewing and marine services.

V.Group has requested NATO to provide naval escorts for shipping in the Black Sea, due to concerns that vessels could be at risk, because of the conflict in Ukraine, according to the Financial Times. However, the inquiry was rejected by NATO.

V. Group highlights the importance of wellbeing onboard, highlighting a healthy life onboard positively affects the customers, as seafarers will be happy conducting their work and the results will be positive. Therefore, the company announced that they will celebrate seafarers throughout the year, referring to ways that can improve their mental and physical wellbeing onboard.

While the voting procedure for the 2019 SAFETY4SEA Awards is open, Stephen MacFarlane, Information Systems Director, V.Group tells a few words about ShipSure for which the company has been shortlisted for the Technology Award. Mr. MacFarlane underpins that when it comes to safety and performance, transparency plays a major role.

Marine support services company V.Group will unveil a new app for seafarers and an upgraded training centre in Manila as progress is ongoing on Project Embark. The app will be providing seafarer data to improve crewing performance and assist in planning.
