Port of Seattle seeks partnership for new cruise facility

The Port of Seattle Commission issued a Request for Qualifications (RFQ) to secure a partner to develop and operate a new, single berth cruise facility at Terminal 46. Commissioners also adopted principles to ensure that a growing cruise business increases local economic benefit.

FERC reviews environmental impact of Port Arthur liquefaction project

The US Federal Energy Regulatory Commission issued a Final Environmental Impact Statement for the Port Arthur Liquefaction Project, Texas Connector Project, and Louisiana Connector Project. The FERC staff concludes that construction and operation of the Projects would result in some adverse environmental impacts, but these impacts would be reduced to less-than-significant levels.

Port of San Diego, US navy jointly prepare for sea level rise

The US port of San Diego has formally agreed to coordinate with the US Navy to prepare for potential impacts of sea level rise. At its meeting on 8 May, the Board of Commissioners authorized a Memorandum of Agreement with Commander Navy Region Southwest, the first of its kind between the US navy and a West Coast port.
