KVH Videotel launches LNG bunkering training course

KVH Videotel has launched an LNG bunkering training course to help crew and port or terminal staff enable a safe bunkering process. The programme  has been developed in response to the increased use of LNG as a bunker fuel.

Europe’s first LNG training centre presented at MEPC

IMO’s 71st session of Marine Environment Protection Committee, held in IMO headquarters in London this week, promoted Europe’s first training centre for LNG professionals, according to UK Embassy of Spain.

USCG personnel receives LNG training

IBIA develops new bunker course

IBIA has joined with South Shields Marine School at South Tyneside College, to develop a course unit on bunkering essentials for merchant navy cadets and engineering officers taking their Class one and Class two certificates of competency.

MPA Singapore issues circular on TR implementation

The MPA Singapore has issued circular to inform about the Technical Reference for Bunker Mass Flow Metering (TR 48:2015) which was launched on 16 February 2016 in support of the mandatory use of the mass flow metering (MFM) system for marine fuel oil (MFO) deliveries in Singapore with effect from 1 January 2017.

USCG conducts training on cryogenic composite hoses

USCG’s LGC NCOE has recently conducted a service-wide webinar on cryogenic composite hoses. Such hoses are increasingly utilized throughout the maritime LNG industry from large scale ship-to-ship transfers to small scale LNG bunkering operations.
