Teekay Offshore Partners has announced that it signed new three-year shuttle tanker contracts of affreightment with BP plc, Royal Dutch Shell and OMV Group, to transport the oil produced from the new Glen Lyon FPSO which is part of the Quad204 development located west of Shetland in the North Sea.

On February 29, 2016, the Creole Spirit – Teekay’s very first M-type, Electronically Controlled, Gas Injection (MEGI)-Type LNG carrier – was successfully delivered to Cheniere Marketing. MEGI vessels are designed to be significantly more fuel-efficient and have lower emission levels than other engines currently being used in LNG shipping.

Teekay Corporation's Gas team celebrated the keel laying ceremony of six LNG newbuildings at the Daewoo Shipbuilding & Marine Engineering (DSME) shipyard in South Korea.

 Teekay announched that  ''Creole Spirit'' has sailed out from the Daewoo Shipbuilding & Marine Engineering (DSME)shipyard for sea trials. What started just as a concept has now become reality.
