Gallery: Welcoming ‘ALP Keeper’ to fleet

The Netherlands-based towage company ALP Maritime has taken official delivery of towing vessel ‘ALP Keeper’ in Okayama, Japan. The vessel is part of the ALP Future Class, meaning it has a fuel capacity of 3400 m3 of IFO/MGO, sufficient for non-stop Trans-Atlantic/Indian, Pacific Ocean towing operations without fuel calls. 

Wärtsilä receives dual-fuel shuttle tanker order from TEEKAY

The vessels will incorporate some of Wärtsilä’s technology concepts, in order to enhance the ships’ performance. These orders with Wärtsilä, are worth over 110 million euros and were booked in December 2017 and January 2018. The vessels will be built at the Samsung Heavy Industries yard.

Teekay Offshore orders two more LNG-fueled shuttle tankers

Teekay Offshore Partners announced that it has declared options with Samsung Heavy Industries for the construction of two, Suezmax-sized, DP2 shuttle tanker newbuildings for a total fully-built-up cost of approximately $265 million.

MAN to service Teekay’s sisters LNG carriers

MAN PrimeServ has signed a maintenance contract with Teekay Shipping. The new Engine Management Concept contract is for the maintenance of the ‘Oak Spirit’, ‘Creole Spirit’ and ‘Torben Spirit’. The agreement covers the provision of spare-parts, maintenance management and the servicing of each vessel’s 2 ME-GI (-Gas Injection) dual-fuel main engines.

Teekay christens its FPSO Pioneiro de Libra

The naming ceremony of FPSO Pioneiro de Libra, which is owned through a 50/50 joint venture between Odebrecht Oil & Gas and Teekay Offshore was held on December 2, at the Jurong Shipyard in Singapore where the conversion of the Libra FPSO has been taken place since 2014.

Keel laid for six Teekay LNG newbuildings

Teekay Corporation’s Gas team celebrated the keel laying ceremony of six LNG newbuildings at the Daewoo Shipbuilding & Marine Engineering (DSME) shipyard in South Korea.
