Maersk sets up dedicated team to accelerate decarbonization

Danish shipping giant A.P. Moller Maersk announced it is setting up a dedicated team to accelerate decarbonization efforts, both of its own and of its supply chain customers. This is part of the company’s ambition, unveiled back in 2018, to have net zero CO2 emissions from its operations by 2050.

The European Commission presented Wednesday its ‘Sustainable and Smart Mobility Strategy’, laying the foundation for a green and digital transformation in transport sector to make it more resilient to future crises. The strategy comes together with an Action Plan of 82 initiatives that will guide EU work for the next four years.
