HullWiper to be used in Suez Canal

GAC Egypt announced that expanded its HullWiper hull cleaning system to vessels berthing at ports in the Suez Canal.  The eco-friendly remotely operated vehicle has already attended its first vessel, respectively a crude oil tanker.

Suez Canal grants dues reduction to LNG tankers

Aiming to encourage more vessels to transit the Suez Canal, the Suez Canal Authority has decided to grant reduction in dues to LNG tankers operating between the American Gulf, Arabian Gulf zone, India and its eastern ports, either they are loaded or in ballast.

Ecoslops, Egypt sign green agreement for Suez Canal

Ecoslops announced that it has signed a Letter of Intent with Egyptian General Petroleum Corporation, through one of its subsidiaries, SSCO, in order to explore the feasibility of creating an oil residue collection and recycling plant in the Suez Canal region. The aim is to identify the recovery services that could be installed, and then used by ships passing through the canal.

Suez Canal offers 30% discount to container ships

The Suez Canal Authority has issued circular to announce that container ships coming from Port of New York and its southern ports heading to South East Asian ports (Port of Port Kelang and its eastern ports) shall be granted a reduction of 30% of the Suez Canal normal tolls.
