The Sustainable Shipping Initiative (SSI) launched the updated version of the Roadmap to a sustainable shipping industry, a resource for stakeholders across the shipping value chain to navigate the major, pressing sustainability challenges facing the industry.

The Sustainable Shipping Initiative has announced that it is holding its 3rd annual Roundtable on Sustainable Ship Recycling in Singapore on March 1st. The delegates will discuss and debate the complex challenges and barriers facing the industry in its pursuit of sustainable ship recycling, and crucially, how they can be overcome.

SSI has welcomed progress made at the IMO MEPC 70 for developing a strategy to reduce GHG emissions from shipping by 2023 and highlighted that critical work must be done now to enable shipping industry to define the ‘level of ambition’ for emissions reduction.
