USCG Vessel Cyber Risk Management Work Instruction

On 27th October 2020, USCG issued a work instruction with guidance on implementation of IMO Resolution 428(98) and MSC-FAL.1/Circ 3.  SQE Marine shares more information, explaining that this work instruction provides guidance regarding the U.S. Coast Guard (USCG) commercial vessel compliance program’s approach to assessing the cyber risk on US flagged and foreign vessels to ensure they do not pose a risk to the Marine Transportation System due to a cyber event.

How to report requirements under USA VGP Annual Report for 2019

The VGP is a USA Clean Water Act, NPDES permit that authorizes discharges incidental to the normal operation of vessels greater than 79 feet in length. The 2013 Vessel General Permit that replaced the 2008 Vessel General Permit, has incorporated a new requirements for a submission of an electronically annual report by February 28th covering activities conducted from January 1st, till December 31, of previous year.
