Liberia Maritime Authority published a marine notice, explaining the terms and conditions for employment of seafarers under the Maritime Labour Convention (MLC), 2006.

Due to the decreased ability to conduct crew changes, as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic and global restrictions, the Liberia Maritime Authority has issued Marine Advisory to assist ship operators and owners that may be experiencing cases of Crew serving aboard with expired certificates and endorsements.
Maritime & Coast Guard Agency issued a marine guidance note for shipowners, operators, and managers informing to have the individual Seafarer Employment Agreements for each seafarer instead of crew agreements.
