The Vancouver Fraser Port Authority announced the expansion of a centralized scheduling system for marine traffic.

A new Sea Traffic Management project received EU funding from the Interreg Central Baltic Programme. EfficientFlow will contribute to more efficient traffic flow in the ports of Gävle and Rauma, as well as in the ScanMed corridor between Stockholm and Turku by implementation of STM and its integration into the full logistic chain.

STM Validation informed that the Vessel Traffic Service Tarifa, one of the first shore centres updated to be fully compatible with Sea Traffic Management, is ready to send and receive voyage plans in Gibraltar strait.

The EU STM Validation, which won the first 2017 SMART4SEA Innovation Award last January, has installed its first Sea Traffic Management compatible bridge systems in “Stena Germanica” and two rescue units from Swedish Sea Rescue Society.

MONALISA project enhancing maritime safety

The European Union will co-finance with a little over 6.4 million from the TEN-T Programme a pilot project investigating a new propulsion system for vessels. The initiative also contributes to the realisation of the "Motorways of the Sea" (TEN-T Priority Project 21) concept.
