Transport Malta issued an investigation report, concerning the allision of the Antigua & Barbuda registered heavy-lift "MARIA" and the consequent foundering of the Italian registered fishing vessel "ANGELA ARCELLA", in the Grand Harbour, Valletta, on 9 August 2016.

The NTSB issued an accident report, studying the allision of the tank barge Double Skin 501 with IMTT Bayonne Pier A in Bayonne, New Jersey, when being pushed by the uninspected towing vessel Peter F Gellatly. Damage to the barge, pier, and an adjacent ship, the Isola Bianca, totaled an estimated $2.7 million and resulted in the discharge of 630 gallons of fuel oil into the waterway.

ShipServ announced that it has earned ISO 27001 certification by QMS for its information security management system, that helps to combat cyber security threats. Implemented in 2013, ISO 27001 is one of the most recognised global standards, that demands best practice for information security management systems.
