Danish coatings manufacturer Hempel has launched an underwater hull inspection service using Remote Operated Vehicles (ROVs), while a vessel is at port or anchorage.

NOAA Fisheries revealed plans to use autonomous surface vehicles for collecting some critical data to support management of commercial fishery in Alaska. This will help fill the information gap resulting from the cancellation of surveys due to COVID-19.

Using advanced underwater robotics, an international team of scientists has revealed the remains of an intact shipwreck from the Early Modern Period (late 15th – early 16th century) in the Baltic Sea. The project comes as a result of the ongoing partnership between MMT and the University of Southampton.
