NYK ship tries biofuels to reduce emissions

BHP, NYK, GoodFuels and BLOC, announced the successful delivery of biofuels to the NYK-owned bulk carrier Frontier Sky, with CO2 savings verified with BLOC’s blockchain fuels assurance platform. The biofuel, supplied by GoodFuels, is a ‘drop-in’ marine gasoil-equivalent, and was blended with conventional fossil-based MGO in a mix of 30% biofuel to 70% conventional MGO.

IMO discusses barriers on Just-In-Time operations

'Just-In-Time' operations (JIT) contribute to cutting emissions, by limiting the time vessels passively spend outside ports. First LNG-fueled ferry in Mediterranean starts sailing

New design revealed for world’s first pure-electric tanker
