Doha-based LNG company Qatargas announced it has supplied a commissioning LNG cargo for India's newest LNG receiving terminal, Mundra, located on the west coast of India. The cargo was loaded in Ras Laffan, on 17 January, and arrived at Mundra terminal on 22 January.

Qatargas Operating Company Limited (Qatargas) with its liquefied natural gas (LNG) production is towards to achieve the "best in class" reliability performance of 98.8%, while the Ras Laffan refinery also scored strong reliability of 98.6%, speeding well ahead of the recent year's targets.

Qatargas has delivered the first LNG cargo on a Q-Flex vessel to Greece’s Revithoussa LNG Terminal. This is for the first time that a Q-Flex LNG ship has called at the terminal, since it expanded last year. The cargo was loaded at the Ras Laffan Terminal in Qatar on 3rd July 2019, and it arrived at the Revithoussa Terminal on board the Q-Flex vessel 'Al Gharrafa', on 20 July 2019.

Qatargas announced that it successfully delivered the 3,000th LNG cargo to Japan since the first ever Qatari shipment was delivered to Kawagoe LNG Receiving Terminal on 10th January 1997. The 3000th LNG cargo, which was transported onboard 'Al Jasra', a conventional LNG vessel with a capacity of 135,000 cubic metres, was delivered to JERA.

Qatargas supplied a commissioning LNG cargo for India’s newest LNG receiving terminal, Ennore, near the southern Indian city of Chennai, on 25 February 2019. The Swiss commodity trader, Gunvor, delivered the LNG cargo onboard the vessel ‘Golar Snow’ to the state-owned Indian Oil Corporation Limited (IOCL).

In April 2017, Qatar lifted the North Field natural gas production moratorium that had been in place since 2005. This will allow Qatargas to increase production from the world’s largest gas field and export more LNG volumes, according to research company Rystad Energy.

Starting from 1st January 2018, Qatar Petroleum’s integration of LNG producers Qatargas and RasGas is in effect, as part of the oil and gas giant's vision to further boost international presence, QP’s chief executive announced.

Qatargas will deliver up to 1.1 million tonnes of LNG per annum to the Austrian company for five years. Beginning in Jan 2019, the LNG will be delivered to the Gate LNG Terminal in the Netherlands on board Qatargas’ chartered LNG vessels.

Qatargas LNG company announced the signing of a sales and purchase agreement with Turkish BOTAŞ Petroleum Pipeline Corporation. Under the terms of the agreement, Qatargas will deliver 1.5 million tonnes of Liquefied Natural Gas per annum for three years.

On June 13, Qatar Petroleum’s Wave LNG Solutions and Shell Gas & Power Developments signed a framework agreement to develop liquefied natural gas marine fueling – or bunkering – infrastructure at strategic shipping locations across the globe.
