According to the findings of the 24th Annual Global CEO Survey by PwC, a year after the start of the COVID-19 pandemic, optimism for economic recovery reached a new record, as 76% of CEOs say they believe it will improve during the next 12 months.

The US domestic maritime industry employs over 37,590 individuals, supports $2.5 billion in worker income, and produces nearly $10 billion for the Pacific Northwest regional economy, according to the findings of a new report conducted by PwC on behalf of Transportation Institute (TI).

PwC Australia, the Australian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, and the Port of Brisbane have collaborated to develop a ‘Trade Community System.’ The new system is intended to link supply chain information through blockchain technology to eliminate complexity in international trade.

Global economic activity and world trade picked up in the second half of the year. Demand in advanced economies expanded while in emerging market economies the export activity was the main driver behind the reported improvement in the relevant measures.
