DOF Subsea announced that its chartered-in vessel, 'Skandi Darwin', has commenced its long-term IMR contract regarding the Shell Prelude FLNG facility in Australia.

Vocus Group Limited announced the successful connection of its high-speed fibre-optic North-West Cable System, to the INPEX-operated Ichthys LNG Project and Shell’s Prelude FLNG facility located off the north-west coast of Australia. 

Shell’s FLNG facility Prelude, the largest floating offshore facility in the world, has officially entered into Lloyd's Register class. Last month, Prelude arrived at Browse Basin, off Australia, where it will be moored at a depth of 250 metres and will not be dry-docked for the first 25 years of its expected 50-year operational life.

Shell Australia confirmed that its Prelude floating liquefied natural gas facility has arrived in Australian waters. Prelude is the first deployment of Shell’s FLNG technology, that will see a 488 metre long floating facility extracting and liquefying gas at sea, before it is exported around the globe. 

KT Maritime recently celebrated the naming ceremony of two Infield Support Vessels (ISVs) at ASL Shipyards in Singapore.The ISVs are purpose-built to support Shell’s FLNG facility Prelude.
