The Singapore-Rotterdam GDSC was established by the Maritime and Port Authority of Singapore (MPA) and Port of Rotterdam Authority (PoR) in August 2022 to accelerate transformation efforts for maritime decarbonisation and digitalisation.

The Port of Rotterdam Authority is currently investigating the consequences and opportunities of the raw materials transition for the Rotterdam port and industrial complex.

Last year, maritime shipping bunkered significantly less fuel in Rotterdam; 9.9 million tonnes in 2023 compared to 10.6 million tonnes in 2022.
