Dhow “AL-HIDAYA” that was hijacked on 16 March off Durdura, in the vicinity of Eyl, Northern coast of Puntland in Somalia has been released.

On 16 March, EUNAVFOR ATALANTA was informed of a suspected piracy related incident on a Yemeni-flagged dhow off Durdura, in the vicinity of Eyl, Northern coast of Puntland (Somalia).

EUNAVFOR ATALANTA has confirmed the release of the Yemeni fishing boat AL NAJMA, which was hijacked off the northern coast of Puntland, Somalia.

EUNAVFOR ATALANTA reported a suspected piracy attack occurring on 9 February on a Yemeni-flagged dhow off the coast of Eyl, located in the northern region of Puntland, Somalia.

The European Council decided to prolong the mandate of the EUNAVFOR ATALANTA and the EUTM Somalia until 28 February 2027.
