Following the fire incident onboard the containership Delphinus several days ago, Ocean Network Express (ONE) officially declared General Average for the vessel's cargo.

The fire-stricken container ship NYK Delphinus remains safely berthed in Oakland, but without electricity provided to its reefers due to unavailability of power supply onboard the vessel, the company informed.

Removal of collapsed containers from the ill-fated ONE Apus will likely take several more weeks to complete, as the owner company ONE Line intends to conduct repairs to the vessel's deck simultaneously with the discharge operation, according to shipping claims consultancy WK Webster, which is involved in the case.

After suffering loss of more than 1,900 containers due to severe storm, the boxship ONE Apus is now heading to the Port of Kobe, Japan.

A containership lost a great number of containers overboard in the Pacific Ocean approximately 1,600 nautical miles northwest of Hawaii, as reported by the ship’s manager.

While en route to its next port call, the 14,000 TEU "ONE AQUILA" containership experienced a container loss due to the bad weather off the US coast.
