Fuel spill reported on Easter Island

The Chilean Navy responded to a fuel spill on Easter Island. Namely, on April 25, while the motorboat "Lago Icalma" was anchored in the bay of Hanga Roa, unloading, when its barge ruptured the hull near a fuel tank, causing the fuel to spill. The causes of the oil spill are still unknown, and the Maritime Authority of Chile will conduct an investigation on the incident.

Oil spill reported in Bayonne, New Jersey

The US Coast Guard informed that it is responding to a report of a spill of marine diesel fuel at the APM Terminal in Bayonne, New Jersey, which happened on Wednesday, 25 of April. APM Terminal alerted the National Response Centre that the fuel spilled into Newark Bay while a ship was refueling pier-side at the terminal. The source of the spill is now secured and USCG pollution responders are on the incident scene.
