The North P&I Club shared an insight discussing autonomous cargo systems as a means to address the oft-blamed ‘human error’ in accident reports. The Club suggests that linked ESD systems should be used for oil and chemical transfers, including ship-to-ship transfers.

Shipping industry launches site to improve maritime security

International shipping industry organisations have launched a new website to provide maritime security guidance to companies and mariners. The new website www.maritimeglobalsecurity.org provides security guidance, which the industry supplies, as well as links to  useful maritime and military security resources. 

Managing maritime cyber risks in 2018
