AET signs for eight newbuild tankers to max fuel efficiency

  AET Tankers has signed contracts in a deal valued at approximately USD 500 million to expand fleet with eight new vessels fitted with a range of latest eco-innovations to maximise fuel efficiency and their impact on the natural environment. Company said that this will enable them to be awarded the “green passport” notation. Newbuild vessels will also be fitted with IMO compliant ballast water management systems.Yesterday, AET contracted with Samsung Heavy Industries Co Ltd (SHI) for four Aframax vessels of 113,000 dwt to be delivered in 2018. A further contract was signed today with Hyundai Heavy Industries Co Ltd   (HHI) for two LR2 product vessels of 114,000 dwt and two Suezmax vessels of 158,000 dwt which will be delivered in 2017.The two LR2 product vessels are tied to long term time charters which AET has been awarded with a strategic oil major client. Thordon propeller ordered for new “Aloha Class” ships

Thordon Bearings has signed a landmark contract to supply COMPAC seawater-lubricated propeller shaft bearing solutions to two Jones Act containerships under construction at the Aker Philadelphia Shipyard Inc. (APSI) for Matson Navigation Company, Inc.The order is significant in that it represents the first large containership reference for the manufacturer and the largest commercial ship propeller shafts to be fitted with COMPAC bearings.The 3600TEU ‘Aloha Class’ vessels, the largest Jones Act containerships ever built, will each feature a COMPAC bearing system for a 930mm diameter shaft driving an 8.1m diameter fixed pitch propeller.Matt Cox, President and CEO, Matson, said. CMA CGM vessels to be equipped with BIO-SEA BWTS

 Ballast water treatment supplier BIO-SEA by BIO-UV has signed a new contract to supply 3 systems for the 20,600 TEUs CMA CGM biggest container vessels new building projects.The contract includes all design and supervision and is being held by HHIC PHIL (Hanjin Heavy Industries Corporation Philippines).The vessels, currently under construction, will be equipped with BWTS BIO-SEA2100 (2100m3/h). The giant ships will be 400 meters long, 59 meters wide, and are slated for delivery in 2017.CMA CGM placed an order for the three boxships back in March.In the start, I was open with you propecia before and after has changed my existence.
