The Maritime Research Institute of Netherlands announced that it tested an innovative concept for a floating mega island, to ensure working space at sea. The island comprises 87 large floating triangles that are flexibility connected to one another and, together, they form a flexible floating island.

Fleet Cleaner announced that has made its ship hull cleaning service available to all ports in the Netherlands. The extended availability was marked with the hull cleaning of the Chiquita België vessel, in the port of Flushing, which made the company the first one to clean ship’s hulls in all Dutch ports.
