BP Ventures announced an investment of $30 million in California-based start-up Calysta, Inc., that will use BP’s natural gas to produce protein for fish, livestock and pet feeds. This investment aligns with BP’s strategy of creating new markets in which gas can play a material role in delivering a more sustainable future.
On Thursday April 12 the christening and launch of the 8,000 deadweight, dual fueled cement carrier M/V Shetland took place. Shetland is a sister vessel of the M/V Ireland and M/V Greenland. Several new initiatives were implemented during the construction process to further enhance quality. After the official handover the vessel will be managed by the MF Shipping Group.
Shell Exploration and Production Tanzania Limited are working with the Government of Tanzania to develop cost competitive development options for the Tanzania Gas and LNG project and establishment of the commercial framework for the project.
