Singapore’s Police Coast Guard (PCG) in a joint operation with the MPA Singapore arrested 11 men, ageing between 31 – 52, for their suspected involvement in an illegal transaction of marine gas oil (MGO) at sea off Northern Tuas.

Singapore recently participated in the 11th Governing Council meeting and endorsed the roadmap and strategies to strengthen ReCAAP ISC as a Centre of Excellence for Information Sharing on piracy and armed robbery against ships in Asia by 2020.
The inaugural Meeting of Anti-Piracy Contact Points and Workshop on Piracy and Armed Robbery against Ships involving participants from Africa, Asia and Europe was held in Singapore, organised by MPA Singapore and ReCAAP ISC.
Singapore has reaffirmed the instrumental role ReCAAP has played in anti-piracy and armed robbery against ships in Asia on the occasion of the ReCAAP 10th Governing Council meeting.
