T&E investigation into LNG ships uncovers significant amounts of invisible methane being released into the atmosphere.

bp ventures has made a £3 million investment in Flylogix, an unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) business that uses drones to help in methane detection. 

The International Council on Clean Transportation (ICCT) started a new project, FUgitive Methane Emissions from Ships (FUMES), in collaboration with Danish-based Explicit ApS and the Netherlands Organization for Applied Scientific Research (TNO).

A recent study by NOW GmbH and the Institute for Environmental Technology and Energy Economics (IUE) at the Hamburg University of Technology (TUHH), found that "the potential of renewable methane to replace fossil natural gas as a fuel for heavy-duty vehicles and ships is vast."
