Agreement signed for vessel and fleet management digital ecosystem

Intellian signed a strategic partnership in satellite communications with Hyundai Global Service, on July 15, aiming to expand HGS’ ‘Integrated Smart Ship’ solution. This is a digital ecosystem for vessel and fleet management, including a data analysis platform.

Canada decides to extend satellite AIS contract

ORBCOMM, a provider of Machine-to-Machine and Internet of Things solutions, announced that Canada has exercised the option for an additional year on their contract through ORBCOMM’s Canadian partner Maerospace, a supplier of AIS data and maritime domain awareness solutions. ORBCOMM will be providing satellite AIS data for ship tracking and other maritime navigational and safety efforts to Canada.

NASA gets new satellites to monitor climate, oceans and coasts

NASA exercised options according to the Rapid Spacecraft Acquisition III contract for two Joint Polar Satellite System. JPSS satellites will collect global, multi-spectral radiometry and other specialized meteorological, oceanographic data through remote sensing of land, sea and atmospheric properties.
