Following its two sustainability commitments in 2017, New York-based bank JPMorgan Chase announced additional steps to address climate change and further promote sustainable development. Among others, the bank committed to stop financing coal-fired power plants or oil and gas exploration projects in the Arctic.

According to a recent statement, the Nordic gas filling stations network is expanding as Gasum opens its ninth gas filling station in Sweden and the first one in Umeå; the station will be able to serve both heavy-duty vehicles (HDVs) and passenger cars.

Apart from the ambitious target of the 2020 Global Sulphur Cap set by the IMO, shipowners and operators must also take into considerations the greenhouse gas targets for 2030 and the emissions goals for 2050. ABS informs that the regulatory changes set for 2020, as well as those expected for 2030 and 2050, will be “more disruptive than any past environmental regulations.”
