According to a recent statement of Italian cruise line Costa Cruises, the Costa Smeralda, its new flagship has made its first liquefied natural gas (LNG) refueling in Barcelona, after leaving the Turku shipyard on Friday December 6. With one complete LNG tank filling, which is estimated to be carried out in Barcelona once the ship starts its regular cruises, Costa Smeralda can be powered for at least two weeks.

McDermott International, Inc. along with Chiyoda International Corporation and Zachry Group, announced that the first commissioning cargo of LNG has been shipped from Train 2 of the Freeport LNG project on Quintana Island in Freeport, Texas.

The Genting Hong Kong and its shipyard group, MV Werften are planning to build a new series of LNG-powered "Universal Class" cruise vessels, that would be able to host 2.000 passengers. The company goals to launch one of its new cruise ship until the beginning of 2022.

Puget Sound Energy’s Tacoma LNG storage and fueling terminal announced that has passed through a review from Puget Sound Clean Air Agency. Specifically, as the Agency informed, the review was based on the facility’s notice of construction application, including public comments. 

The Wison Offshore & Marine started its procedures for the Novatek Arctic LNG 2 project. Specifically, the company announced that the project's manufacturing started on 29 November, at the Zhoushan yard in China. For the records, in the past the Technip France S.A. has awarded Wison for its module fabrication.

Petrobras informed on Monday, September 9 that it will start leasing its LNG regasification terminal, as well as an associated gas pipeline in the northeastern state of Bahia. The move is in line with an agreement made with Brazil’s antitrust regulator Cade in July to open up the Brazilian natural gas market to additional competition.

Qatargas Operating Company Limited (Qatargas) with its liquefied natural gas (LNG) production is towards to achieve the "best in class" reliability performance of 98.8%, while the Ras Laffan refinery also scored strong reliability of 98.6%, speeding well ahead of the recent year's targets.
