International Registries, Inc. and its affiliates (IRI) announced that the Republic of the Marshall Islands (RMI) Registry will not follow competitors by levying surcharges and commissions on vessel documents and certificates issued on its behalf by the Classification Societies.

The Marshall Islands Ship Registry issued a safety advisory to remind of the amendments to the IMSBC Code, adopted in June 2017, and to encourage  their early adoption from 1st January 2018.
