NGOs urge IMO for deep emission cuts from ships before 2030

The International Maritime Organization (IMO) has a historic opportunity in the next three months to put the global shipping industry on an equitable, 1.5°C-aligned decarbonisation pathway, highlighted a group of NGOs, pushing IMO to take decisive actions towards shipping emissions cuts during the Intersessional Working Group on Greenhouse Gases (ISWG-GHG-14) that takes place 20 to 24 March 2023.
