RMI updates its report of personal injury or loss of life

This report shall be submitted to the Maritime Administration as soon after the occurrence of the casualty as possible. The form should be completed by the Master or person in charge or, if neither is available, by the owner of his duty authorized agent.

USCG updates NVIC on MLC implementation

The USCG has published a revised guidance on the implemenation of the MLC amendments (2014) which focus on financial security for the repatriation of seafarers and financial security relating to shipowners’ liability in cases of seafarer injury or death.
