IACS has submitted proposals to the forthcoming 9th session of the Sub-Committee on Carriage of Cargoes and Containers (CCC 9), which will meet from 20 to 29 September 2023.

The 9th session of the International Maritime Organization (IMO) Sub-Committee on Carriage of Cargoes and Containers (CCC), which deals with the carriage of packaged dangerous goods, solid bulk cargoes, bulk gas cargoes, and containers, will meet in London from 20 - 29 September.

The Sub-Committee on the Implementation of IMO Instruments (III) 9th session took place 31 July to 04 August 2023 where key issues on implementation were discussed.

The IMO Navigation, Communications, and Search and Rescue Sub-Committee (NCSR) 10 (10-19 May) considered the introduction of the proposed VHF Data Exchange System (VDES) into SOLAS.

The IMO Navigation, Communications, and Search and Rescue Sub-Committee (NCSR) 10 (10-19 May) approved a revision of resolution MSC.530(106) on performance standards for electronic chart display and information systems (ECDIS).

The IMO Navigation, Communications and Search and Rescue Sub-Committee (NCSR) 10, took place 10 to 19 May 2023 where associated protective measures (APMs) for sea mammals within the particularly sensitive sea area in the North-Western Mediterranean Sea (NW Med PSSA) were discussed. 

The IMO Navigation, Communications and Search and Rescue Sub-Committee (NCSR) 10, took place 10 to 19 May 2023 where matters related to the safety of pilot transfer arrangements were discussed, highlighting the need to revise SOLAS regulation V/23.

IACS will participate in the tenth session of the IMO’s Sub-Committee on Navigation, Communications and Search and Rescue (NCSR 10).
