IAPH has decided to develop its own GHG performance indicator as part of the forthcoming expansion and revision of the IAPH Environmental Ship Index (ESI) which will become fully operational as of 2026.

During this week’s intersessional meeting of the IMO Working Group on Reduction of GHG Emissions from Ships (ISWG-GHG 17), discussions about a mid-term market-based measure are ongoing.
