The Port of Long Beach and GE Transportation will collaborate to improve cargo flow at the Port of Long Beach. The Port is launching a pilot program with GE Transportation to increase visibility, enhance real-time decision-making and optimize cargo movement through the Port. 

The Digital Rig solution, powered by GE’s Predix platform, deployed on the Noble Globetrotter I drilling vessel has been connected to all targeted control systems, including the drilling control network, the power management system and the dynamic positioning system.

Less than a year since launching a first-of-its kind digital solution to keep cargo flowing efficiently through America’s largest container port, the Port of Los Angeles and GE Transportation are expanding the program, to include all container terminals and shipping lines at the Port.

GE Marine Solutions has announced the launch of a new technology solution which comprises two standalone products both integrated into one package or used independently with third-party technologies on board vessels.
