Russia’s first cargo and passenger ship-to-ship LNG-bunkering vessel has been set afloat, as shipyard experts completed the main stage of the vessel’s construction, Gazprom Neft announced.

Following the launching ceremony of TurkStream gas pipeline several days ago, the Russian company Gazprom informed that successfully supplied its first billion cubic meters of gas through the pipeline. For the records, TurkStream links the gas transmission systems of Russia and Turkey.

Russian and Ukrainian companies signed a final five-year deal safeguarding Russian gas transit to Europe via Ukraine. This came just 24 hours before the current agreement expires on Tuesday. The deal was signed after five days of talks.

Gazprom Neft, part of Russian oil and gas company Gazprom, announced launch of the world’s first ever digital Arctic-logistics management system, aiming to ensure uninterrupted year-round shipments of crude produced and to improve efficiency in logistics management.

Lithuania's LNG import terminal, 'Independence', is expected to double its LNG volumes after the opening of gas pipelines to Poland and Finland, 2021. The pipeline opening will turn the Baltic Port into a regional hub. 'Independence' mostly imported Norwegian LNG for domestic use, using a fifth and a third of its annual capacity of 2.7 million tonnes of LNG, after changing in 2017, along with its first US cargo import.

Germany's gas imports decreased by 9% in November 2018 in comparison to the same month in 2017, according to Reuters. Yet, imports during the first 11 months, from January to November, experienced an increase of 9% than the same period , a year earlier.

The pipe laying vessel 'Pioneering Spirit' has completed construction of the offshore section of the TurkStream, the new gas pipeline connecting Russia and Turkey via the Black Sea, and the project has entered its final stage, Gazprom announced. The command to weld the final joint of the gas pipeline’s second string was given by Russian President, Vladimir Putin, and Turkish President, Recep Tayyip Erdogan.

On the sidelines of the 8th St. Petersburg International Gas Forum, Russian oil giant Gazprom and British oil major Shell signed a Framework Agreement on the joint design concept (pre-FEED) for the Baltic LNG project.
