Watch: Teekay Group put together an “IMO 2020 team”

The company put together the “IMO 2020 team”, a transition team that focused on finding the ideal fuels to be able to keep up with the upcoming regulations.

Sources report that about 66 people suffered minor injuries when the fire broke out on July 31, at a massive ExxonMobil plant in Texas. Allegedly, the fire broke out at a polypropylene recovery unit where plastic is purified for production.

ExxonMobil introduced EMF.5, its range of engineered marine fuels, specifically designed to help operators comply with the IMO 2020 global sulphur cap. The company says that the new product does not compromise fuel quality. ExxonMobil has also developed a n40BN cylinder oil, to work with low-sulphur fuels. It will be available across its port network along with our EMF.5 range of fuels.
