The cargo ship Ever Given that blocked the Suez Canal for nearly a week in March has been repaired in east China’s coastal city of Qingdao.

Maritime historian and Campbell University professor Sal Mercogliano, published photos of the damaged Ever Given, that blocked the Suez Canal in March.

The giant container ship Ever Given is en route once again through the Suez Canal, about five months after it ran aground in March shaking global shipping trade flow for almost a week. 

The Ever Given finally docked at the port of Rotterdam, about four months later than scheduled, due to the infamous incident.

The owner of the Ever Given that got stuck in the Suez Canal for a week, is expected to receive several legal claims.

The Ever Given arrived at Port Said, where it anchored at the port’s outer limits. The ship will undergo inspections at the port. 

Seafarers’ unions recently welcomed the release of the MV Ever Given which was under detention in the Suez Canal by Egyptian authorities.

The International Chamber of Shipping (ICS) has welcomed the settlement reached between the Suez Canal Authority (SCA) and Shoei Kisen Kaisha Ltd., owner of the Ever Given, which resulted in the ship's release on Wednesday, after 106 days of being stranded.
