Equinor’s offshore platform guilty of oil leak

The Petroleum Safety Authority Norway (PSA) launched an investigation report on an oil leak caused by the Statfjord A facility on 26 November 2019, to understand the causes and clarify responsibilities.

Equinor continues oil spill recovery in its Bahamas terminal

Norwegian oil and gas company Equinor is progressing oil spill recovery at the South Riding Point terminal in the Bahamas, after the impact of Hurricane Dorian. An onshore team has started to recover oil and move it into tank storage.

Equinor halts loading operations due to oil spill

Norwegian oil firm Equinor, published a statement according to which an oil spill was observed during a loading operation in the North Sea offshore Norway on Wednesday, May 15. The company noted that when loading oil from buoy to shuttle tanker on the North Sea Statfjord field, oil was observed on the sea surface. 

Gas leak from Statoil’s subsea facility in Norway

Petroleum Safety Authority of Norway announced that has launched an investigation of the gas leak on the Statoil’s Åsgard field in the Norwegian Sea, on 10 March 2017. The incident occurred during preparations for a well operation with the Deepsea Bergen mobile drilling unit.
