ContainerShips introduces its 4th LNG-fueled vessel

ContainerShips, the subsidiary of CMA CGM Group, officially announced that successfully delivered its 4th LNG-fueled ship, the “CONTAINERSHIPS ARCTIC”, enhancing its role in the sustainable shipping market. Specifically, the 1,380-TEU containerships were delivered on 10 December 2019.

BP expands its LNG tanker fleet

The 2017 BP Energy Outlook forecasts that global LNG trade will grow seven times faster than pipeline gas trade, such that by 2035 it accounts for around half of all globally traded gas. The newly expanded BP Shipping fleet is expected to deliver LNG volumes around the world.

Doosan signs agreement for LNG-powered engines

Doosan Infracore signed a memorandum of understanding on their cooperation for the development of LNG engines for small vessels with KOGAS and Samjin Yard. This MOU was concluded with a recent increase in demand for converting small domestic ships with diesel engines to LNG-powered ships.

Methanol carrier CAJUN SUN delivered

MOL has announced the delivery of 50,000 DWT methanol carrier the CAJUN SUN at Minaminippon Shipbuilding Co., Ltd. on November 10. The CAJUN SUN is the third vessel of the series of cutting-edge “eco-ships” .
