DMAIB released its report about an unintended release of a rescue boat on 6 December 2017, in Norway. The accident happened as an annual survey of the ship, "BERGENS-FJORD", was about to take place. As part of the survey, the crew had to lower the rescue boat to sea level according to the ship’s procedures.

DMA focuses on problems that may arise when using a CO2-system in an emergency because the operation of the system cannot be trained in practice in connection with periodic fire drills.

On the night between 21 and 22 December 2016, the Danish offshore supply ships MÆRSK SEARCHER and MÆRSK SHIPPER capsized and sank in the Bay of Biscay, off the French coast, while being towed by another offshore supply ship, MÆRSK BATTLER, en route to Turkey.

DMAIB has issued Marine Accident Report regarding the fire which broke out in a container in a cargo hold on board the container ship Caroline Maersk in the afternoon of August 26th, 2015. The fire broke out as a result of charcoal self-igniting in a cargo container below deck.

The Danish Maritime Accident Investigation Board has issued an accident report onboard Selandia Swan accident on July 23rd,2015. The findings from the investigation have indicated that, on that date, the 3rd officer was inspecting the lifebuoys mounted on the bridge wings while he was alone on watch on the bridge. During the inspection of the starboard lifebuoy, he accidentally lost his footing and fell overboard.
