Building hub at Port of Amsterdam to optimize traffic

In order to keep up with the increasing number of construction projects in Amsterdam, the City of Amsterdam, Port of Amsterdam, Waternet and the Netherlands Organisation for Applied Scientific Research have launched a partnership project in Amsterdam focusing on building logistics. The pilot project will start in April 2018, with an initial evaluation scheduled for November 2018.

Largest marine fuel terminal to be built in Denmark

Stena Oil will create a new marine fuel terminal in the Port of Frederikshavn. The facility will be fully adapted to meet the new Sulphur Directive 2020 and its location will reduce the distances travelled by bunkering vessels. The oil terminal will be the largest of its kind in Denmark. Several services can be conducted at the same time, reducing transportation and turnaround times.

Denmark released photos of the ships collision at Great Belt Strait

The Danish Armed Forces released some photographs depicting the damages that the container ship ‘Delphis Gdansk’ and the general cargo ship ‘BBC Neptune’ sustained when they collided at the Great Belt Strait in Denmark. Both ships were significantly damaged as a result form the incident, while one of them reportedly sustained fire. 'Delphis Gdansk' also lost some containers.
