The video is a message by IMO Secretary-General addressing seafarer’s wellbeing, particularly their mental health and how this year’s campaign on the Day of the Seafarer, highlights specific strategies to tackle stress and other issues affecting seafarers’ mental conditions.

Can you imagine life without your laptop or phone? The video, produced by MPA Singapore, is a grateful address towards seafarers, men and women, who work tirelessly on board ships, in order to transport all necessities to each one of us. On 25th June 2017, the Day of Seafarers, MPA calls everyone to thank seafarers for their efforts.
The video consists IMO Secretary-General’s message for Day of the Seafarer 2017, under the theme Seafarers Matter, that aims to encourage ports and seafarer centres from around the world to show how they support seafarers.
In this IMO video, Bekir Sitki Ustaoglu, Technical Cooperation Division, IMO speaks about his experience as a seafarer and explains the reasons to choose this career.
