Greece, Israel, US, Cyprus to boost energy cooperation

Greece, Israel, Cyprus and the US agreed to boost cooperation in energy, as well as cyber and infrastructure security, Greek Energy Minister Kostis Hatzidakis said, following a meeting among the ministers of the four countries in Athens, Wednesday. 

First offshore cyber security-ready notation awarded

ABS awarded a CS-Ready Notation to a Sembcorp Marine jack-up drilling rig built to its proprietary Pacific Class 400 design. The CS-Ready Notation combines new features as it is the first-of-its-kind issued to an offshore facility. It requires that functions and connections are specifically characterized so the owner can control access to connections and systems. 

IUMI: Cautious optimism for offshore underwriters in 2018

Although global premiums for the offshore energy insurance sector dipped by 5% in 2017, signs of recovery are on the horizon. This was the key outcome for the offshore sector of this year’s International Union of Marine Insurance (IUMI) conference in Cape Town.
