NGO Friends of the Sea (FoS) is set to include a new sustainable shipping standard in the next update of its sustainability certification criteria, in a bid to ensure that seafood is transported in an environmentally friendly manner as possible.

More and more companies and organizations integrate sustainability and social responsibility into their management systems. There are however no clear guidelines on how this can be done in the best way. The work now begins with an ISO IWA with guidance on how an organization can include social responsibility in their management systems.

In an exclusive interview with GREEN4SEA, Mr. Alexis Rodriguez, Panama Canal’s Environmental Protection Specialist, talks about Canal's Green Route strategy which consists of many initiatives encouraging operators to enhance environmental performance in the industry.
