Port of Barcelona experiences record 2018

The Port of Barcelona closed fiscal year 2018 with record results in the main traffic indicators. It also enhanced its role as the main facilitator of export activity, aimed at increasingly diversified and further distant markets. The Catalan infrastructure channelled 67.7 million tonnes of traffic, including all cargo modes, representing a year-on-year increase of 10% and achieving a new record for the Port.

Port Brisbane’s cruise terminal moves forward

Australian Port of Brisbane has announced the principal contractors for its AUD 158 million (USD 114.3 million) Brisbane International Cruise Terminal, paving the way for construction to begin in the coming months.  Cameron Dick, Minister for State Development, Manufacturing, Infrastructure and Planning stated that the 158 million reflect the future of the cruising industry in Queensland.

Watch: Launch of expedition cruise ship ‘Celebrity Flora’

Shipyard De Hoop published a video depicting the launch of Celebrity Cruises’ new expedition cruise vessel 'Celebrity Flora'. The ship was launched in Lobith-Tolkamer, the Netherlands and is set to make its first sailing on May 26, 2019. 'Celebrity Flora' will go to Rotterdam in a few weeks, in order to undergo the final works, which include the construction on the upper deck.
