The Danish Acquisition and Logistics Organization (DALO) has announced a major upgrade of its search and rescue planning tool, BMT’s SARIS, which is designed to locate targets lost at sea, whether it be people or objects, thus saving lives and minimizing dangers.
UK-based autonomous systems provider ASV Global is leading a new £1.2 million research project in partnership with compatriot BMT to enhance safety and reliability of autonomous navigation, through the use of deep learning machine vision systems trained with simulated and real-world data.

BMT SMART launched SMARTNOON, a new solution aiming to deliver higher resolution vessel performance data, based on noon reports. The system takes a vessel’s noon report as a starting point and then adds metocean data, AIS information and BMT SMART’s analytics, to provide ship owners and operators with the necessary insights.
Oldendorff Carriers and BMT SMART announced a new agreement which has led to the roll out of fleet performance management technology onboard Oldendorff vessels. Based on BMT’s on board data collection system and shore based management solution SMARTFLEET, this collaboration aims to improve the overall efficiency of the fleet.
In partnership with Maersk, BMT has developed an online Marine Application for survey, Trend Evaluation and reporting platform which provides real time data on the condition of vessels and changes in that condition over time.
