The delivery includes the Energy Storage Container System, an upgrade of the existing Rolls-Royce ship design engineering package to match the new features, an upgrade of the Dynamic Positioning system and the ACON control system, and the new Rolls-Royce Energy Monitoring system, which provides an overview of energy usage onboard.

The vessel will have reduced exhaust emission levels, when operating in ‘green’ mode, with minimal visible smoke from being produced since the load is being picked-up by the batteries. Moreover, the noise level of the tug will be reduced.

ABB released an announcement informing that it will provide the Australian oil and gas company, Woodside, with a PowerStore Battery storage system, capable of remote management of operations and service. The system will be installed on the Goodwyn A platform.
