Spain prohibited the entry of Singapore-flagged tanker Maersk Magellan into Tarragona port due to it transporting oil products originating from a Russian ship, Spain’s Transport Ministry said on 10 February.

The Port of Prince Rupert is proposing a ban on polluting scrubbers in its harbour, pending a 30 day comment period that ends on February 5th, 2023.

Some jurisdictions have imposed local regulations which restrict or prohibit the discharge of wash water from scrubbers within their waters.
